These specialist coatings are used throughout the globe in various locations including hazardous environments such as pipelines, tank and vessel linings and areas of limited access.
Lesson 2 - History of Pipe Coatings
Objective:
The objective of this training unit is to give a basic understanding of the use and progression of external pipe coatings.
Some field joint coatings are also examined.
Lesson 3 - Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coatings for Pipeline Protection
Objective:
The objective of this training unit is to give a basic understanding of the protection of pipe, fittings and field joints using fusion bonded epoxy powder coatings (FBE).
Lesson 4 - Miscellaneous Pipeline Coatings and Field Joints
Objective:
The objective of this training unit is to review the various types of coatings used to protect the pipeline from corrosion.
Lesson 5 - Rubber Linings
Objective:
The objective of this training unit is to review the use of Rubber and it’s uses in the coatings and corrosion industry.
Lesson 6 - Special Coatings and Linings
Objective:
The objective of this training unit is to review some of the specialist coatings used for the protection of tanks and vessels.
Lesson 7 - Powder Coatings
Objective:
The object of this training unit is to review the use of powder coatings including pre-preparation, methods of application and types of equipment.
